Ruby red wine, sometimes deeply coloured with evident violet hues, tending towards brick red with age. The highly characteristic aroma of the young wine, with the grassy scent of freshly reaped hay, is reminiscent of violets, wisteria, almond and raspberry, and becomes more elegant and ethereal with age. Dry, full bodied but harmonious, generous and distinctive on the palate. It pairs well with roast poultry, and also with simple and more complex game when well-aged and robust.
Serve at a temperature of about 18-20 °C.
